In short: we collect only what we genuinely need in order to answer your enquiry and teach you well. We do not sell, rent, trade, share, or export your personal information to third parties, and we never share mobile opt-in data or SMS consent with anyone.

This Privacy Policy applies to this website and to the Arabic language courses delivered by TRENDOID TECHNOLOGIES LLC, doing business as Hiwar Institute ("we", "us", "our"). It describes how we handle personal information belonging to prospective students, enrolled students, parents or guardians, and visitors to this site.

TRENDOID TECHNOLOGIES LLC is the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any question about this policy, or you would like to exercise any of the rights described in section 9, please contact us using the details at the end of this page.

Information We Collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to respond to you and to deliver your classes.

Information you give us directly

When you contact us by phone, email, or through an enquiry or enrolment form where one is offered, you choose what to tell us. That typically includes:

Your name, and the name of the student if you are enquiring on someone else's behalf.
Your telephone number and email address.
Your country or time zone, so we can suggest workable class times.
Your current Arabic level, learning goals, and any previous study.
Where relevant, the age of a student under 18 and the parent or guardian's details.

Information created once you enrol

Your class schedule, attendance, and progress or assessment notes.
Instructor feedback and correspondence with our team.
Records of payments made. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our systems.

Technical information

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers record limited technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is used in aggregate to keep the site secure and to understand which pages are useful. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

How We Use Your Information

To answer your enquiry and recommend a suitable track and level.
To enrol you, schedule your classes, and deliver your course.
To send class reminders, schedule changes, recordings, and other service messages.
To provide instructor feedback and track your progress.
To take payment and keep the accounting records the law requires us to keep.
To improve our curriculum, our teaching, and this website.
To meet our legal, tax, and safeguarding obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

SMS and Mobile Information

Where you provide your mobile number and give consent, we may send you text (SMS) messages relating to your enquiry or your classes. Consent to receive SMS is never a condition of enrolling in any course or of purchasing anything from us.

No mobile information will be sold, rented, shared, or otherwise transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This exclusion applies to every category of sharing described anywhere in this policy.

What we send

Conversational and service messages - replies to your enquiry, class reminders, schedule changes, recording links, and account or payment notices.
Occasional course updates, only where you have separately agreed to receive them.

Frequency, cost, and opting out

Message frequency varies according to your enquiry and your class schedule.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's charges are your responsibility.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. We will send one final confirmation and then stop sending messages to that number.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We retain a record of your opt-out so that we can honour it. That record is used only to suppress future messages and is never shared or used for any other purpose.

We Do Not Sell, Share, or Export Your Data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or licence it. We do not share, disclose, or export it to third parties, data brokers, advertising networks, or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and we never have.

We do not transfer your information to any third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, under any definition of "sale" or "share" used by applicable privacy law.

The only circumstances in which your information leaves our systems are set out in section 6, and each is strictly limited to delivering the service you asked for or complying with the law.

Service Providers and Legal Disclosure

We use a small number of trusted providers purely to operate our service, for example website hosting, video conferencing for live classes, email and SMS delivery, and payment processing. These providers may process your information strictly on our instructions in order to perform that function.

They are bound by contract to protect your information.
They may not use it for their own purposes, and may not sell or share it.
They may not use it for marketing of any kind.
Mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are excluded from every such transfer, as stated in section 4.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so - for example in response to a valid court order, a lawful request from a public authority, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of a student or to establish or defend a legal claim. If our business were ever transferred to another entity, we would notify you first and the receiving entity would remain bound by this policy.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We keep cookie use to a minimum. This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run behavioural advertising.

Essential - a small number of cookies may be set by our host to keep the site secure and available.
Analytics - where enabled, these tell us in aggregate which pages are viewed. They do not identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies are needed for the site to function correctly.

Data Retention

We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months if you do not enrol, so that we can pick up the conversation where it left off. Student records are kept for the duration of your studies and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can confirm your progress or re-enrol you. Financial records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely for the sole purpose of honouring your opt-out. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.

Data Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access limited to staff who need it, and reputable providers for hosting, payments, and messaging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we review our practices regularly and will notify you and any relevant authority without undue delay if a breach affects your rights.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
Ask us to delete your information where we have no ongoing lawful reason to keep it.
Object to or ask us to restrict a particular use.
Withdraw consent at any time, including consent to SMS, without affecting your enrolment.
Receive your information in a portable format.
Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

International Transfers

We teach students around the world, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own, including by the service providers described in section 6. Wherever it is processed, it remains protected by this policy and by appropriate safeguards.

Children's Privacy

We welcome younger learners, but a parent or guardian must make the enquiry, give consent, and provide the contact details. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we hold such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you directly before it takes effect.
